Meet the Designer

KEVIN STANFORD

11TH GRADE

DFC 2018-present, Design FC Academy Student

Kevin or Kev is a youngin from the city of Chester Pennsylvania. DFC means a lot to me because it helped me improve in life. It gave me opportunities that I didn’t imagine myself having when I was younger. I appreciate Coach O (omri), Coach Oli and Coach Ayo for giving me this opportunity and helping me grow and inspire others with my jerseys and more. I now have the opportunity to inspire the youth and inspire others to keep striving in life and to keep going until they achieve their goals. In DFC, I learned to not be afraid to try and ask for help, you will always struggle thru the process. That is why we have mentors there to help us get through the struggle and accomplish everything we want to do during the program. They never leave you to feel like they are not there to help at all. DFC has been a big part of my life and I'm glad Coach O asked me to be a part of this CREATIVE family.

My mom got this bottle of black castor oil right, and I was just sitting there reading it and I was like that’s gonna be my youtube name, castor, and I just put three r’s

2018-2019 Jersey

A legendary first jersey to start off Kev’s DFC career.

STOP GUN VIOLENCE

“There are a lot of shootings in Chester and no one is doing anything about it” - 2019

“I put a gun and I put the thumbs down in it, and then I put Long Live Nye 1 because he died because of gun violence and he was 13, only 13 when he died. I ain’t even really know him like that, it just felt weird because he was 13, and he was almost my age, basically is my age.” - 2020
